Description
No. 21 Duke Street is a village house that dates from the late 18th century and is part of a row of similar buildings. The front is rendered, while the rest is made of painted rubble. It features a steep slate roof with a brick stack at the right end and an axial stack towards the left, both adorned with cogged cornices. The house has a shallow-depth plan and stands two storeys tall, with a total of four windows across its front. The windows are possibly original casements with eight panes per light, including two-light casements on the first floor and two three-light casements flanking the central doorway. The entrance features a six-panel door, with the top two panels later replaced with glazing. The interior has not been inspected.
