Description
White Bridge is a road bridge over the River Attery, forming part of the private south drive to Werrington Park, a house. It dates from the 18th century, with the parapets rebuilt in the 19th century. The structure is made of stone rubble and dressed granite. The bridge features five arches in total, with three arches on the northeast side over the floodplain. On the southwest side, there is a main segmental arch with granite dressings and a keystone, flanked by two cutwaters that are truncated below the parapet. Beyond this, there is a smaller segmental arch with three smaller flood arches. The 19th-century parapets replaced a previously existing white painted balustrade.
