Description

This milestone, located 30 metres to the northeast of Atway and Menheniot Farm, is likely from the early 19th century. It is made of painted granite and has a rectangular shape with a rounded top. The milestone features incised black painted letters that read 'L 2'. The turnpike road act for roads leading into Launceston was passed in 1760.
