Description

Milestone located 300 meters to the west of Chantry St Ive, dating from around 1764. It is made of granite and features a rectangular post with a rounded head. The milestone has incised lettering with serifs that indicate distances to Callington and Liskeard, specifically inscribed with 'C 4½ L 4'. This milestone is situated on the turnpike road leading into Callington, as established by the Turnpike Road Act of 1764.
