7/170 Cross directly to south of Church of St Ivo

GV II

Cross. Medieval. Granite. Rectangular in section with mutilated wheel head. Incised with possibly Maltese cross on south side. North side with central channel gouged out, rounded-head and slightly moulded sides. Possibly associated with the Knights Templars and Hospitallers who held advowson of the parish and the Preceptory of Trebeigh (q.v. Trebeigh Manor) 1150-1540. Resited and erected on new stone base by the Liskeard and Callington branches of the Old Cornwall Society in 1981. J S Wenmoth 'The Historic Stone' Parish Pump 1980
