Description
No's 27 and 29, known as Pauls, is a shop with accommodation located on Molesworth Street in Wadebridge. It dates from the late 18th century and was remodeled in the mid-19th century, featuring a shop front from the late 19th century. The building is constructed of stuccoed and rendered stone rubble with a slate roof that has gable ends.
The structure is two stories tall and has a regular three-window front. The shop front on the left includes a 20th-century glazed door flanked by two six-pane shop windows with lambs tongue glazing bars. Above the shop front, there is a fascia with a moulded cornice supported by corbelled brackets. To the right, there is a 19th-century moulded architrave surrounding a 20th-century window, with a 19th-century door at the far right. The first floor features moulded architraves around the window openings, although the original sash windows have been replaced with PVC windows. Above the moulded cornice, the parapet includes three blind rectangular panels. There is also a 20th-century extension at the rear.
