Description
The SWEB shop at No. 39 Molesworth Street in Wadebridge is a shop with accommodation above, likely remodeled in the early 19th century from an original 18th-century structure. It features a stuccoed and rendered stone rubble exterior and has a rag slate roof with gable ends and a brick end stack on the left.
The building is two stories high with a regular three-window front. The left side has a 20th-century shop window with a curved shallow bay and large plate glass. To the right of the shop window, there is an entrance with an early 19th-century hornless 12-pane sash window. The right side of the building displays incised lines in the stucco. On the first floor, there are three early 19th-century hornless 12-pane sash windows with moulded frames. Above, there is a moulded cornice and parapet featuring three blind rectangular panels.
The interior of the shop was remodeled in the late 20th century.
