Description
The Police Station, located at No. 59 on Molesworth Street in Wadebridge, was built around the late 19th century to early 20th century. It is constructed from snecked slate stone with granite dressings and features a slate roof with hipped ends. The building has an overall 'T' shaped plan, with a central front wing that contains two rooms. Entrances to the main range are located to the right and left of this wing. There are also two small 20th-century extensions added to the rear.
The exterior is two stories high and has a symmetrical arrangement of windows, with a 1:2:1 pattern. The front central wing has a hipped end and features two tall 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor and two smaller 12-pane sash windows on the first floor. Flanking the central wing are two 20th-century part-glazed doors, each with a 12-pane sash window above. The interior has not been inspected. The Police Station holds significance for its group value within the area.
