Description
This small building, located approximately 12 metres to the north-west of Leaze, is of uncertain purpose, possibly serving as an ash house or goosehouse. It likely dates from the 18th century and is constructed from granite rubble and moorstone. The building has a roughly circular plan and stands less than 2 metres in height, featuring a corbelled roof made of large pieces of moorstone. Inside, there is a small, roughly flat piece of granite with a slightly raised rim that projects from the interior wall to the right of the entrance. This structure is associated with and situated to the north-west of the farmhouse known as Leaze.
