Description

Bradford Bridge is a clapper bridge that serves as a road bridge over the De Lank River. It dates from around the 17th century and was widened in the early to mid 20th century. The bridge is constructed from granite and moorstone and features four spans. It has been widened on the eastern side, with roughly cut granite lintels and additional lintels added during the widening. The east side has cut waters. A photograph of the bridge before the 20th-century alterations can be found in Henderson's work. Bradford Bridge is part of a group that includes two clapper footbridges located to the north and west.
