Description
The outbuilding located to the north west of Leam Hall, formerly known as the coach house, dates back to 1777. It is constructed of coursed gritstone with quoins and features a hipped stone slate roof. The south east elevation consists of two storeys, with a basement on the north east side and a single storey lean-to on the south west.
There is a tall carriage opening with a segmental arched head and a keyblock above, surrounded by quoined edges. The opening contains plain planked double doors. Above the doorway, there is a 2-light flush mullioned window with fixed lights. The lean-to on the south west side connects to the main building and includes a quoined doorway with a plain planked door. This lean-to also has a stone staircase leading to a first floor opening and copings at the north west end of the roof. The keyblock above the main arch features the inscription "1.0". This outbuilding is listed for its group value.
