Description
The gazebo located south of Chymorvah West House and Chymorvah Private Hotel dates from around the 1860s. It features Flemish-bond brick walls and granite steps with wrought-iron balustrades. The roof is a hipped scantle slate design with a central chimney topped by two original square clay chimney pots. Each gazebo consists of a summer house above a basement store, with entrances located towards the middle of the first floor on the north side, accessible by straight flights of external stairs against the wall.
The exterior includes ledged doors and five-pane fixed lights in the windows, with two windows at the front and rear on the first floor and one on each side wall; some windows have been blocked. The interior of the gazebo at Chy Morvah West has been inspected and remains unaltered, featuring a first-floor room with an original iron horseshoe grate and a canopied plaster ceiling.
