Description
The tombchest of Grace Mitchell is located 3.5 metres to the southwest of the south porch of the Church of St Symphorian. It dates from 1679 and commemorates Grace, the wife of Samuel Mitchell, who passed away that year. The tombchest is made of slate rubble and features a rectangular slate lid. It includes a marginal inscription with lettering in cursive script.
