Description
The Nook is a house dating from around the 18th century, located on the west side of Forrabury and Dunn Street in Boscastle. It is constructed of slate stone rubble and features a rag slate roof with gable ends. The stone stack on the left gable end is corbelled out above the ground floor, while there is a projecting stone rubble stack on the right gable end with a brick shaft. The house is built into the side of a hill, with the ground rising to the rear. It has a two-room layout with a central cross passage and includes a circa 19th-century lean-to outshut on the right gable end. The building is two storeys high and has an almost symmetrical three-window front. On the ground floor, there are two 19th-century four-pane sash windows in what are likely enlarged openings, along with a central partly glazed door from the late 19th or early 20th century. The first floor features three 19th-century four-pane sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
