Description

A pair of attached cottages dating from around the early 19th century, located on Forrabury and Dunn Street in Boscastle. The cottages are constructed of slate stone rubble and feature brick segmental arches over the openings. They have slate roofs with gable ends and brick end stacks. Stamford Cottage, on the left, has a one-room plan with a heated room to the left and an entrance to the right, likely containing a stair to the rear. April Cottage is a mirror image. The ground floor of Stamford Cottage has two early 19th-century 12-pane hornless sash windows flanking a pair of partly glazed doors near the centre. The first floor has four early 19th-century 12-pane hornless sash windows with timber lintels. The interiors have not been inspected.
