Description

Harwood Cottage is a house dating from around the late 18th century, located on the east side of Forraby and Fore Street in Boscastle. Constructed of slate stone rubble, it has a rag slate roof with gable ends and brick end stacks. Originally, it likely comprised two one-room plan cottages, later converted into a house with a two-room plan. The front elevation is almost symmetrical, featuring three windows on each floor. The ground floor has three early 19th-century eight-over-twelve pane hornless sash windows. A 19th-century six-panel door is situated to the left of the centre, and a 19th-century four-panel door to the right. The first floor has three early 19th-century sixteen-pane hornless sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
