Description

Frogapits is a house dating to the late 18th century, located on the east side of Forrabury and Dunn Street in Boscastle. The house is constructed of painted and rendered slate stone rubble, with a cement-washed rag slate roof and gable ends. It has projecting stone rubble stacks with brick shafts on the gable ends.

The building features a two-room plan alongside a central entrance, with both rooms heated by end stacks. The front elevation is symmetrical with three windows. The ground floor has two 16-pane sashes with segmental arched openings, and a central glazed door set within a 20th-century gabled glazed porch. The first floor has three 16-pane horned sashes within gabled half dormers. A lean-to outshot projects from the right-hand gable end. The rear elevation has a partially rebuilt rear wall and includes an early 19th-century 20-pane sash on the first floor.

The interior has not been inspected. Frogapits is part of a group which includes Marine Terrace.
