Description

Milestone located in Marazion, dating from around the mid 19th century. It is made of painted dressed granite and features a pyramidal head. The shaft is triangular in shape and sits on a square base. Two of its faces are inscribed and rise above large pyramidal stops. The left side is marked with the inscriptions "PENZANCE 3" and "LANDS END 13". The right side has the inscriptions "HELSTON 10" and "FALMOUTH 22". There is also an Ordnance Survey bench mark underneath.
