Description

The kitchen garden walls at the rear of The Manor Office in Marazion date from the 18th century. They feature granite rubble outer walls and brick inner walls, with one wall on the northwest side laid in Flemish bond and the other in English bond. The walls have rubble or slate copings topped with clay ridge tiles. The layout consists of two adjoining rectangular walled enclosures. A heated greenhouse is built against the wall at the top of the northwest enclosure, and a potting shed is located at the lower end. The main entrance from Rosehill is situated at the south corner, featuring doorways with pointed arches. The main doorway is made of granite and includes granite voussoirs, a ledged door, and a boarded tympanum. The brick walls are buttressed on the outer side.
