Description
The kitchen garden walling and greenhouse at Stratfield Saye Park dates from the mid-18th century to the mid-19th century. It features high brick walls that enclose a rectangular area, with a central cross-wall. The walls are constructed of red brick in English bond, with some later upper sections in Flemish bond, and are topped with stone coping. The design includes flat pilasters, a plinth, and arched openings set within flat abutments at key positions. On the north side, there is a later two-storey block with three windows, a hipped slate roof, a low parapet, and stuccoed walling. The main highlight is the greenhouse, which is supported by cast-iron columns and features wooden bars.
