Description
The gate piers and steps located east of The Manor Office in Marazion date back to the 18th century. They provide access to the kitchen gardens at Rosehill. The structure features rubble walls complemented by dressed granite steps, copings, and pier caps. The design includes a straight flight of steps, with one side built against a retaining wall and the other side featuring a low masonry balustrade. At the top of the steps, the walls are topped with square-on-plan piers. The piers are made of ashlar and have sloping caps with finials that resemble tulip heads.
