PROBUS SW 84 NE 4/37 Geen Millhouse and adjoining - buildings

Millers house and buildings. Early C19 (possibly on older ground floor walls) with later C19 extensions. Shale rubble, granite and brick with scantle slate roof and brick gable chimneys. Symmetrical 2 room double depth plan. 2 storeys symmetrical, 3 windows. Panelled central door with C20 porch flanked by 20 panel sashes. Irregular granite quoins to halfway up walls. First floor windows are 2 light 16 paned casements. All openings are slightly arched and spanned by gauged bricks. Hide eaves are supported on shaped wooden brackets with a granite cavetto moulded corbel at each end. Shale rubble extension to right (slightly set back) is 1 1/2 storeys and has 2 light, 12 paned casement to ground floor and rounded corner to right with asbestos slate roof. Interior not inspected. Large end stacks with diagonal brick shafts, right hand 3 shafts, left hand 2 shafts.
