Description
Mill Farmhouse, along with the wall and gate to the south front garden area, is a farmhouse likely built in the mid to late 18th century. The structure features painted rubble and cob at the rear, topped with a half-hipped grouted scantle slate roof and brick chimneys on the side walls. It has a double depth, central stair plan, with a later 18th century and early 19th century extension at the rear. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window front. There is a six-panel door that is slightly off centre to the left, with a late 19th century gable hood above, supported by shaped wooden corbels and a scissor-braced truss. Above the door is a two-light casement window, while the other windows are three-light casements, all featuring glazing bars. A modillion cornice runs under the eaves, and there is an external stack on the right side wall, which includes nine dove holes. The interior has not been inspected.
