Description
Wall Farmhouse is a farmhouse that includes a front roadside wall, gate piers, and railings, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The building features painted rubble walls and a hipped scantle slate roof, although the front has been replaced with concrete tiles. Brick chimneys are located over the side walls. The farmhouse has a double depth plan with a wider kitchen/living room on the left and a parlour on the right, flanking a cross passage that leads to a stair hall between two rear service rooms.
The exterior is three storeys high and nearly symmetrical, with a three-window south-west front. The doorway and windows are slightly right of the middle, featuring a 20th-century door and early 20th-century six-pane horned sash windows, except for a 20th-century window on the first floor to the right. A tall stair window is located at the rear middle. The interior has not been inspected. A low retaining wall along the road is topped with 19th-century cast-iron railings and a gateway, which includes granite monolithic piers and a 19th-century cast-iron gate.
