TREMAINE TRUSELL SX 28 NW 7/178 Trusell Farmhouse, garden walls, - gate-piers, gates and railings to front

GV II

Farmhouse walls, gate-piers, gates and railings to front. Probably mid C19 with earlier origins. Stone rubble, painted on front elevation. Rag slate roof with gable ends. Brick shafts to end stacks, with projecting end stack on right. Plan: The farmhouse is probably a remodelling of an earlier house which was of two room and cross or through passage plan heated by end stacks. In the C19 the house was extended across the rear with service rooms forming an overall double depth plan. Exterior: Two storeys. Symmetrical 3 window front with circa mid C19 16-pane hornless sashes with crown glass. Painted brick dressings to window openings. Central entrance with C19 partly glazed door. Low rendered garden walls to front with circa late C19 railings. Tall, square, rendered gate-piers with pyramidal caps and circa mid C19 cast iron gate. Interior: Not inspected.
