Description
This is a 18th-century cottage located next to Clifton Cottage in Grade-Ruan, Cadgwith. It has whitewashed rubble walls with unplastered cob and brick repairs at the rear. The cottage features timber lintels over the ground floor openings and a thatched roof. There is a rendered brick chimney on the left gable and another brick chimney in the ridge at the right end. The building is one and a half storeys tall and has an almost symmetrical appearance.
On the ground floor, there are two 6-pane, 2-light casement windows on either side of a central 20th-century door with glazing bars. Above these, there are three 8-pane, 2-light casement windows. The gable end is unplastered and has two 20th-century, 3-pane windows on the first floor. The eaves below the gable are finished with cement render. The interior has not been inspected.
