Description

Hendra Farmhouse, built in 1839 for T.P. Esq, stands on the north side of the farm at Hendra. The farmhouse is constructed of stone rubble with a slate roof, the front elevation being slate hung with rag slates. It has stone rubble end stacks. The plan is a double-depth layout, with a central entrance flanked by two principal rooms, each heated by an end stack. Shallow service rooms are located to the rear. The two-storey, almost symmetrical front has a 20th-century central entrance porch flanked by two probably 19th-century two-light casement windows. Two similar casement windows are on the first floor, with a datestone and initials in the centre. The interior has not been inspected.
