Covered Yard At Approximately 20 Metres Of Trelissick Farmhouse

The covered yard located approximately 20 metres from Trelissick Farmhouse is a Grade II listed structure, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is built from granite rubble with granite dressings and features a corrugated iron roof with gable ends. The yard has a large rectangular plan, with a wide doorway at the centre of the south end and additional doorways midway along each side. The exterior consists of 10 bays on each side wall, supported by short granite piers that carry the roof structure and provide ventilation through the open spaces between them. The wide doorway at the south end rises partly into the gable and has a granite lintel above it. Inside, the yard features scissor-braced trusses and remains unpartitioned.
