Description

This is a cartshed or implement shed located approximately 10 metres south-west of Trelill Farmhouse, dating from the late 19th century. It is constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings and features a scantle slate roof with gable ends. The building has a rectangular plan and is mostly open at the front, consisting of a single storey with an irregular four-bay front. The left-hand bay has blind masonry, the middle bays are very wide and open, and the right-hand bay is narrower. The roof's wallplate is supported by square-on-plan granite monolithic piers between the open bays. The interior has not been inspected. This structure is part of an interesting and unspoiled courtyard that includes 18th and 19th century farm buildings as well as an 18th century house.
