Description

This is a cartshed, likely dating to the 18th or 19th century. It is constructed of granite stone rubble under a pitched roof of slates and corrugated sheeting. The cartshed is a rectangular, single-depth building situated 22 metres southwest of Barteliver Farmhouse, and fronts onto a yard to the west of the farmhouse. It has three irregularly-sized open bays to the front (north), divided by timber uprights resting on stone pads. The rear elevation is blank. The roof trusses have tie beams and queen struts. Attached to the east end is a narrower stone-built range with modern timber doors, which has been altered and is not of particular interest. The interior of this attached range was not inspected.
