Description
Hill View is a house built in the early to mid-19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from rendered stone rubble and has an asbestos slate roof with ridge tiles; the left side has a gable end, while the right side is hipped. The house features end stacks, with a brick shaft on the right and a rendered shaft on the left. The layout consists of a two-room plan with a central entrance, where each room is of equal size and heated by an end stack.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a symmetrical front with two windows. On both the ground and first floors, there are 16-pane sash windows from the 19th century on the right and left. The central entrance has a half-glazed door from the 19th century, which is set in a shallow, open-fronted porch that was added in the 20th century. To the right, there is a single-storey lean-to that has a late 19th-century 6-pane sash window at the front. At the rear, there is a single-storey lean-to from the 20th century on the left with two 6-pane windows, and a privy on the right. The interior has not been inspected.
