Description

ST GORAN CHURCH STREET (east side), Gorran SX 0041 0141 Haven 5/95 Pothy's Place - GV II

House. Circa late C17 - early C18; alterations of C19 and C20. Rendered stone rubble. Bitumenised slate roof with crested ridge tiles and gable ends. Gable end stacks with truncated brick shafts. Plan: 2-room plan with central entrance; each room heated from a gable end stack. Cellar to left. Exterior: 2 storeys, a symmetrical 3-window front. At first floor all windows are late C19 4-pane sashes. Ground floor has C20 window to right and left and central C19 half-glazed door with margin glazing and sidelight to right. The right side abuts the adjoining house. The left side has a covered entrance to the cellar; at upper ground level there is a blocked doorway with C20 window inserted. Interior: Not inspected.
