Description

Harbour View and Seaforth is a pair of attached houses built in the late 19th century, with some 20th-century alterations. The houses are constructed from slatestone rubble with brick dressings and partly hung with asbestos slate. They feature an asbestos slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. The left house, Harbour View, has an axial stack with a brick shaft, while the gable end stack of the right house, Seaforth, has been removed.

The layout consists of two one-room plans, with Harbour View on the left and Seaforth on the right. Each house has its entrance on the left side, leading into a room on the right. Harbour View is heated by the axial stack, while Seaforth was originally heated by an end stack on the right. An open passage at the left end leads to a room above that belongs to Harbour View.

The exterior is two storeys high with an asymmetrical three-window front. On the ground floor, there are 20th-century half-glazed doors for each house, with a 19th-century 12-pane sash window to the right of each door, featuring cambered brick arches. The first floor has two 19th-century 12-pane sash windows, also with cambered brick arches. Above the passage, the upper room has an asbestos slate-hung front and a 19th-century 12-pane sash window. The sides of the houses abut adjoining properties. The interior has not been inspected.
