Description

ST GORAN CHURCH STREET (east side), Gorran SX 0041 0141 Haven 5/97 Bolywinky - GV II

House. Early - mid C19 with few later alterations. Stone rubble; the front is rendered and lined out. Asbestos slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. Gable end stacks with brick shafts. Plan: 2-room plan, with central entrance; each room of equal size and heated from a gable end stack. Exterior: 2 storeys on plinth, a symmetrical 3-window front. All windows are C19 16-pane sashes with cambered arches. Central half-glazed C20 door with cambered arch. The sides abut the adjoining houses. At the rear there is a central C20 door with C20 window to right and left. Interior: Not fully inspected. The passage contains a straight stair and the partition wall to the room to right has been removed. The room to left has C19 ceiling beams and a C20 fireplace.
