Description

This milestone, believed to date from 1890, is located on the south side of the B3300 and is part of a series of three that indicate the distance between Redruth and Portreath.

Constructed from granite, the milestone has a triangular shape with a pyramidal top and stands on a rectangular base featuring pyramid stops at the base of each face. It is painted white, with the inscriptions highlighted in black. The eastern face displays the inscription 'PORTREATH / 1. MILE', while the western face reads 'REDRUTH / 3. MILES'.
