Description

Hendrea House is a house dating probably from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of killed rubble, brought to courses, with granite dressings, and has a composition tile roof. The house follows a double-depth plan and has two storeys and three bays in an almost symmetrical arrangement. A doorway is positioned slightly right of centre, flanked by two 16-pane unhorned sash windows on the ground floor, with three matching windows above. The roof is hipped, with projecting eaves, and includes side-wall chimneys. A single-storey workshop, or byre, now used as a garage, is attached to the left end. This section is of uncoursed rubble, painted white, and features two small windows and a sliding door, topped with a hipped roof. The interior remains uninspected. The building is included on the list for group value.
