Description
This is a range of farm buildings located approximately 20 meters southeast of Killivose Farmhouse, likely dating from the 18th century or earlier, and incorporating some earlier materials. The structure is built of uncoursed granite rubble with quoins, featuring roofs made of slurried scantle slates and corrugated metal sheets. The buildings are arranged in a long range along an east-west axis, with a stable block at the west end and a large barn projecting at the east end.
The stable is two storeys high and consists of three bays, featuring a central doorway with a loading door above, and two windows on each floor. The right ground floor window has a re-used lintel from a former three-light mullioned window. To the right of the stable, the cow-house continues, which includes a wagon doorway near the junction with the stable, supported by a massive granite lintel. There is also a smaller doorway further to the right with a loading door above, along with two small square openings at ground floor and two small windows at first floor, all widely spaced.
The barn, which is not two storeys high, is positioned on a canted axis and features a doorway to the left, a wagon doorway to the right, and a very low window between them, all with heads located under the eaves. All openings have quoined surrounds. The rear of the barn has a slate roof that extends down over a shelter.
