Description
The Grange is a house dating from the early to mid 19th century, which has been altered. It features scored render painted red, likely over rubble, with pink plaster dressings and a modern pantiled roof. The building has a square four-room plan, is two storeys high, and has three symmetrical bays. It includes a plinth, panelled pilasters at the corners, and a coved niche in the centre of the ground floor. The windows are 12-pane unhorned sashes with exposed boxes, raised sills, and moulded architraves. The roof is shallow-pitched and hipped, now without chimneys. The left return wall has a centrally located doorway with a hoodmould, one window to the left, and two windows above, all similar to those at the front. The right return wall has similar window arrangements and an added conservatory, while a former service wing at the rear has been removed. The interior has not been inspected.
