Description
This guide post, dating from the early 19th century, is made of cast iron and features a Doric column. It has three adjustable rectangular pointers with rounded corners, topped with a spearhead over a ball finial. Each pointer is adorned with moulded collar rings and borders, displaying two place names along with their distances in miles from the guide post, all in embossed lettering. This guide post is one of the few complete examples of its kind remaining in this part of Cornwall and is prominently located in the village square, which contains a high proportion of listed buildings.
