Description

This guidepost, dating from the early 19th century, is made of cast iron and features a Doric column with "CORNWALL" embossed vertically. Above the column are four rectangular adjustable pointers, each displaying two or more place names along with their distances in miles from the guidepost. The entire structure is topped with a spearhead over a ball finial. This guidepost is one of the few remaining complete examples of its kind in the area and is located in picturesque countryside near the Helford River.
