Description

This guide post, dating from the early 19th century, is made of cast iron and features a Doric column with "CORNWALL" embossed vertically. Above the column are four rectangular adjustable pointers, each displaying two place names along with their distances in miles from the guide post. The entire structure is topped with a spearhead over a ball finial. Two of the pointers have been repaired. This guide post is one of the few remaining examples of its kind in the area and is located in picturesque countryside near the Helford River.
