Description
Landrivick Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse that was remodeled around the late 19th century. It features stucco over cob walls and granite sills, with an asbestos slate roof that was once thatched. The building has brick chimneys located over the left gable end, the rear wing, and the right hipped side wall. It also has cast iron ogee gutters.
The layout includes two parlours at the front, separated by a cross passage that leads to a central stair against the back wall, with a kitchen wing behind the right-hand parlour accessed by a quadrant-on-plan passage taken from the corner of the parlour. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a nearly symmetrical three-window north front. The slightly off-center wide doorway features a six-panel door, with the top four panels later glazed. There is a distinctive pillared porch with moulded acroteria. To the left of the doorway is a hornless four-pane sash window, while the first floor has a four-pane two-light casement and four-pane horned sashes.
Inside, the farmhouse retains much 18th-century detail, including some two-panel doors with fielded panels, panelled shutters, and a column turned balustrade beside the landing.
