Description

This house, located 10 metres east of the post office in Lewannick, is likely from the 18th century and was extended in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble, which is stuccoed, rendered, and painted, and features a slate roof with gable ends and rendered end stacks. The original layout probably consisted of two rooms with a cross or through passage heated by an end stack. In the mid-19th century, the house was extended at the front with a second parallel range, creating a double depth arrangement. The two main rooms are in the front range from the mid-19th century, while the service rooms are in the earlier back range.

The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window front. The central entrance features a 19th-century six-panel door set within an open trellis porch that has a flat slate roof. The porch includes a round arched opening with decorative spandrels. On either side of the door are two 19th-century twelve-pane sash windows, with three 19th-century three-over-six-pane sash windows on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
