Description
Oakleigh is a house that likely dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of rendered and painted stone rubble and has a rag slate roof with gable ends. The building features a projecting stone rubble end stack on the left and a brick shaft for the end stack on the right. The layout consists of two rooms with a central cross or through passage, both heated by the end stacks. There is a 19th-century lean-to extension at the rear.
The exterior is two storeys high and has an almost symmetrical three-window front. A 20th-century door is located in the centre. To the left, there is a 19th-century two-light casement window, and to the right, a 20th-century two-light casement, both with slate strings above the window openings. On the first floor, there are 19th-century two-light casements in the centre and to the left, with a circa 20th-century two-light casement on the right. The interior has not been inspected.
