Description

LEWANNICK POLYPHANT SX 28 SE 2/62 Converted stables of Manor House GV II Coach-house and stables converted into a house. Circa C18, converted and extended in the late C20. Stone rubble with Polyphant stone dressings. Slate roof with hipped ends. C20 axial stacks. Plan: Single depth plan with central entrance. Stables and carriage house on ground floor with loft above. Extended by one bay to left and right in the C20. Exterior: Two storeys. Almost symmetrical 6-window front. Dressed stone arches to ground floor openings, the stable and carriage house entrances partly blocked with C20 casement windows inserted. Central chamfered granite 4-centred arch flanked by 2 and 3-light casements and C20 doors. First floor with six C20 2-light casements with roundel in the central gable. Interior not inspected.
