Description
Nos 1, 2, and 3 Polyphant Green are a row of three houses located in Lewannick, with origins likely dating back to the 17th century and extended in the 18th century, along with 20th-century extensions to the rear. The buildings are constructed of stone rubble featuring ashlar Polyphant stone and granite dressings, topped with rag slate roofs that have gable ends. The axial and end stacks are made of rendered stone rubble.
In terms of layout, No 1, located on the left, has a two-room plan with a cross passage, featuring an entrance to the left of the center. It includes a small room on the left and a larger room on the right, both heated by end stacks. No 2 has a similar two-room and cross passage plan, with a hall-kitchen on the right heated by an end stack and a small unheated room on the left, along with a 20th-century extension to the rear. No 3 also follows the two-room and cross passage plan, with a larger room on the right heated by an end stack.
The exterior of the houses is two storeys high with an asymmetrical window arrangement of 3:2:2. No 1 features 20th-century PVC windows in earlier openings and a 20th-century porch to the left of the center. The two windows to the right have granite lintels, and there are three PVC windows on the first floor. No 2 has dressed stone arches over the ground floor openings, with an entrance to the left of the center that includes a 19th-century door flanked by a small 19th-century one-light casement on the left and a three-light casement on the right. The first floor has two circa 19th-century two-light casements. No 3 has a circa 19th-century door slightly to the left of center, with a circa 19th-century two-light and three-light casement flanking the entrance, featuring roughly cut granite lintels. The first floor also has 19th-century two-light and three-light casements. The interior is not accessible.
