Description

The cross located about 15 metres south of Heligan House is a pre-Conquest structure that has likely been re-sited. It is a granite monolith approximately 3 metres high, roughly hewn and set on a granite boulder. The shaft has a rectangular plan and is slightly tapered. The wheelhead features a raised carved patee cross on both the front and rear, with a slightly raised rim surrounding it. This cross is also designated as Ancient Monument number 246.
