Description

This is a cross located about 6 metres northeast of Treliggon Farmhouse in Lanivet. It dates back to before the Conquest and is made of granite. The cross stands approximately 1.3 metres high and features a rectangular shaft with a roll-moulding carved at all four corners. The wheelhead displays a carved raised Latin cross with a central roundel on both the front and rear sides. The stone is roughly hewn. The cross has been relocated and may have been used as a gatepost at one time, as evidenced by one remaining iron pintle in the shaft. It is not listed as an ancient monument.
