Description

Lestitha Farmhouse is a mid-19th century farmhouse built on the site of an earlier building. The front and gable ends are slate-hung, while the remaining walls are of slatestone rubble. It has rag slate roofs with exposed rafter ends. Constructed on a double-depth plan, it includes two service wings attached at right angles to the rear. The two-storey, nearly symmetrical front facade has three windows. There is no visible doorway on the front. The ground floor has a pair of windows to the left, with otherwise single windows, all original hornless sash windows with glazing bars, except for horned copies to the ground floor left and first floor centre. Similar sash windows are found on the right-hand side and rear elevation. A gable-ended porch extends from the middle of the right-hand elevation, featuring a doorway with a traceried door and thick glazing bars. A single-storey extension from the 20th century is located on the left. The interior has not been inspected, but is said to contain original features.
