Description
SW 84 33 ST JUST IN ROSELAND CHAPEL TERRACE (north side) St Mawes 6/83 Methodist Church -

Non conformist chapel. Early to mid C19. Stucco over rubble. Delabole, dry slate roof, hipped to right and adjoining partly wall of house at higher level, left. Open chevron crested ridge tiles with finial over hip. Rectangular on plan with pair of aisles and gallery on 3 sides. 2 storeys including gallery. 3 window, south east, street front. C20, cross windows to ground and first floor in original openings with stucco consoles under sills and moulded stucco architraves. Plinth, wide mid-floor band, cornice under plain parapet and rusticated quoins. Entrance front right has pair of doorways with console flanking window with moulded architrave. Interior is unaltered with flat plaster ceiling with acanthus moulded rose and moulded ribs; pitch pine pews; original rostrum reached by paired of flanking quadrant stairs with open string and turned baluster. U shaped on plan communion rail with similar baluster; throne with cabiole legs and gallery on plain pillars with front of paired, pierced, cast iron panels between pilasters.
